Concentric Creation

Concentric Creation (2000)

This 1 1/2 minute stop-motion piece provides a glimpse into the life of a downtrodden wire figure who paradoxically becomes his own creation. This piece was stylistically influenced and largeley inspired by Mark Osborne's "More".

Among the questions that prompted me to make Concentric Creation are "Why are we here?", "What value is there in creating?", "To what degree is a creator embodied in his/her creations?", and "Can we create our own identity?".

This piece was voted one of the best independent animated shorts in the juried 2000 Minnesota Electronic Theatre. It has also appeared in the 2001 Film Fest New Haven.
