Animation
This section features some 2D and 3D animations projects I've done. In general 2D pieces are done using Macromedia Flash, whereas 3D work uses Alias Maya and some supporting packages to render the animation to video.Westlaw
This short animation was animated for a tradeshow in 2005 for Westlaw while I was employed at Pixel Farm Interactive. I art directed this, including storyboarding & overseeing the photo shoot. I worked to make it feel like a very battered old pixilation by haphazardly adding still photos to the timeline to simulate basic motion and then added an archival film quality to the entire piece. I did the animation in Final Cut Pro and After Effects, and oversaw another animator who did the titles.
This is another small product promo site done in 2005 for Westlaw while I was employed at Pixel Farm Interactive. I animated it in Flash and for a limited time it ended by offering a special free gift to people who filled out a flash form.
Toro
This is another product promo Site, done for Toro in 2004. I animated the piece in Flash and coded the branching menu of product details.
Rob the Drummer
The full 4 minute version of this piece was projected on screen during motivational speaker Rob The Drummer's 2003 stage show. While the animated Evil Rob character is projected, spaces in the character's dialog allow real-life Rob The Drummer to "talk" to it.
Welchol
This is a portion of a longer piece done while working at Exploria Productions. It was part of a Sankyo Pharma's national WelChol Marketing campaign for physician education, "The Crossroads of how to Lower Your Cholesterol". The animation portrays a humanoid representation of the drug as it tours within a cartoony human body.
Sankyo Pharma Benicar
This is part of a longer piece done while working at Exploria Productions. This was featured at the beginning of a computer animated interface created for Sankyo Pharma's Benicar Sales Training Center, also created by Exploria.
Academy Education Center
I did a number of class-related projects while attending the Computer Animation Associates' Degree program at Academy Education Center (now Academy College). Here are some of my early coursework which turned out best:
My first and only claymation so far. Done as a group project that I directed.
This was my first character animation and first attempt at compositing CG with live video.
